Changing GalleryThe main floor is the changing gallery that utilizes the museum's large artifact collection. Exhibit topics may range from boys' basketball teams to the history of our county jails, early county businesses; even to such recent articles as Star Wars figures or Barbie dolls.
We also have a hands-on-room for children (and adults) where they can actually touch a mastodon tusk or dig for points and arrowheads. They can build a log cabin, locate points of interest in Marshall County, or sit in an early 1900's barber chair. ----- The Lincoln Highway Traveling Exhibit will be in the museum for several months. This is the beginning of our Historic Crossroads exhibit, part of the museum's expansion. Owned by the Marshall County Historical Museum, it will be available to other organizations throughout the Northern Indiana area for display on a traveling basis. Jump Right In! Marshall County Lakes.
Our Marshall County Lakes exhibit "Jump
Right In" is now open. It features unique memorabilia from area lakes and businesses.
In preparation for the exhibit, we held the Marshall County Lakes Photo Contest, which concluded on July 31st. Thank you to everyone who contributed photos! We have a wonderful collection of fun pictures that have been added to our exhibit. Come learn some fun facts about our over 25 lakes. Share the memories of fellow Marshall County lake-lovers and tell your own stories to us. The exhibit will continue through the end of the Winter season.
The Boy Scout exhibit includes a preview of items to be included in the future Boy Scout room in the museum's expansion project. This exhibit features Boy Scout and Sea Scout uniforms, the Clayton Gottschalk scouting award, patches, pins,
bugle, first aid kit and many more items.
