Scheduling a Tour
Select the date and time you would like to visit the museum and call at least one week in advance 574-936-2306.  During our Expansion into the adjoining buildings, areas of the museum may be closed off, so be sure to check with us before you plan your trip.

When you Arrive
A tour guide will greet you and begin the tour on the Main Level. There are three levels of exhibits, including the Mary Brumbaugh Research Library.

The Marshall County Historical Museum offers guided tours for your organization or group. You may take a standard tour or customize your visit to suit alumni reunions, social organizations or school classes.

Our school tours are designed to meet Indiana Department of Education Academic Standards for Social Studies.

When can we come?
The museum is open from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. With advanced notice we can schedule tours as early as 9:00 a.m. We can also schedule evening tours.

How long will the tour be?
Depending on the size of your group, the tour takes between 45 minutes to one hour.

How much does it cost?
The museum is free, supported by the County, donations of the community and our members.

How big can our group be?
Tours are most comfortable with 25 people or fewer. For school tours, we can accommodate up to 50 students at one time and will work with larger groups to schedule alternating activities, such as a tour of the Marshall County Courthouse or the Old Firehouse, home of the Marshall County Visitor’s Bureau.

Special Accommodations
If you need special accommodations, please let us know when scheduling your tour.
The museum is handicap accessible, air conditioned and has restroom facilities available to visitors.
